Enjoy a beautiful summer day during Prairie Garden’s U-Pick strawberry season with an educational and fun farm adventure. Located just 25 minutes from downtown Edmonton, our family farm provides a great interactive experience that children will long remember. The kids will take an enjoyable fun hayride through the farm to see the different crops that are growing during the season.
Everyone can pick an in-season crop. (Berries, peas, or new potatoes.)Visit and feed the little animals in the Petting Farm. Campfire cookout sites and picnic tables are available and play areas for children are part of the fun.

Fall School Classroom Field Trips For 2010 - A Day of Learning and Fun on the Farm - Part of our mission at Prairie Gardens Corn Maze and Haunted Pumpkin Festival is to provide education through entertainment. We now live in a time when many children think milk comes from refrigerators and vegetables are grown in produce aisles. Campfire Sites - Campfire sites must be reserved in advance for a Hotdog Roast lunch (10 -1 pm) or dinner (2 - 5 pm) on Saturdays or Sundays & Holiday Monday. For groups of 15 or more, you can reserve a weeknight campfire site from 5 - 9:30 pm for a Flashlight Maze Adventure. You can order a Catering Package to be delivered to your site which includes wieners, buns, chips, drinks, Halloween cookies, marshmallows, napkins, roasting sticks, and condiments for $5 per person. (2 hotdogs - $7 per person).
2010 Fall Fun - Prairie Gardens Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch offers a unique fall outing designed to harvest fun and memories. Join us for a special Crown Jewels & Red Hatter gathering! Enjoy casual Red Hat countryside shopping, outings and lunch during this special event on the farm.
When I am an old, I shall wear red and white, with a red hat for glamorous shade, and I shall sip strawberry lemonade in summer gloves, enjoy simple country pleasures, sample tasty treats from the garden, and dine on succulent fresh summer strawberries.
And enjoy music in the shade of the trees, visit with old friends, pick the flowers in the beautiful gardens, and shop for Red Hats at the gift shop at this Edmonton countryside farm.
The menu features regional cuisine from our gardens including baby banana potatoes, fresh summer squash, vine ripened cherry tomatoes, cucumber sandwiches, organic greens, and of course our famous award-winning homemade fresh strawberry shortcake.

Seniors Outings at Prairie Gardens May - October

We welcome you to our farm—nestled in a scenic Sturgeon County, just 25 minutes north of Edmonton, Alberta. Prairie Gardens’ Adult & Seniors Tours are a great outing for Red Hat Clubs, Seniors’ Groups, and Retirement Lodges. Tours include a light walk and tour around the greenhouses, petting farm, garden centre. Customize your tour with a ‘people-mover’ tour around the farm to enjoy the country air and observe spring plantings, and strawberry fields. You can also choose to create a Garden Craft, Pick-Your-Own Strawberries*, or add Lunch or Strawberry Tea*. * Extra Fees - Available seasonally.

- Prairie Lunch- $12 per person: Includes Lunch Buffet, Drink, Shortcake, & 20 minute Guided Tour.
- Tea &Tour- $7.50 per person: Includes Shortcake, & Coffee, and Guided Tour
- Tea & Talk- $5 per person: Homemade Strawberry Shortcake & Afternoon Tea - with a 20 minute Gardening Talk.

Lunch includes home-garden salad buffet, sandwich dainties, or soup and sandwich, and homemade strawberry shortcake made with our own delicious strawberries, served with coffee, tea.
Enjoy your treats or lunch in the fresh country air at the outdoor seating area, or if it rains, under cover amongst the flowers, in our ‘Greenhouse Cabana’. Our tours follow the three R’s:

Relive your childhood as take time to ‘smell the roses’, or visit the petting farm critters, pick some berries, shoot the pumpkin cannon, get lost in a maze, touch a soft alpaca, or go for a people-mover ride around the farm!
- Reflect on the finer things in life as you stroll through our lovely gardens, greenhouses and gift shop. Take a minute to rest on a bench to enjoy the birds singing, the geese floating by on the farm pond, and the peacefulness that the countryside offers. Take in our farm shopping, where you will find flowers, fruit trees, homemade preserves, Red Hat gifts and more. Fresh seasonal produce: strawberries, peas, potatoes and pumpkins.
- Relax in the shade and enjoy storytelling with our tour guides about days gone by. Take the opportunity to share your own stories.
