We grow over 5000 containers and hanging baskets in our greenhouses every spring, and specilaze in unusually gorgeous ideas! 	Perennials They're tough, reliable, low care plants that bloom year after year! Perfect for the blazing sun, shady glen or thirsty hillside. Check out our succulents and other special varieties. Fall Gardening Tips:  Peonies, Daylilies and Siberian Iris are very hardy in Alberta, and require little care in preparation for winter.  After a killing frost has killed the foliage, just trim the leaves back to about 6" above the ground to catch the snow for a little protection.  Mother nature will do the rest!

	Grow Your Own Strawberries Get those juicy mouth-wattering berries!  We grow 4 acres of strawberries in our gardens, and know what works in Alberta! Alberta hardy July bearing varieities included: Kent, and Honeyoe.  Cover these with a straw or wood shaving mulch the last week of October for the highest production.  They set thier flower buds in the fall for next year. The best everbearing Day-neutral berries are Tristar, Hecker, and Seascape. These varieties repeat bloom and ripen from May to October. The oldfashioned everbearers - Fort Laramie are very hardy and do not need winter protection.  You can pick your own fresh Alberta strawberries from our fields in July! Call ahead. 780.921.2272.
