Celebrate your child's birthday with a fun outdoor adventure! Birthday packages are available from July to October at the Great Prairie Corn Maze. Outdoor activities include: mazes, mini mazes, straw bale maze, bale jumps, wagon rides, petting farm, 'gem' mining, enchanted forest, haunted house. Book your school or kid's club in early for this exciting 1 ½-hour guided interactive spring planting program where the children explore new beginnings on our farm. Visit with the babies at the petting farm - lambs, chicks, and baby goats. See how roots and shoots start to grow and help us plant our gardens. Take home a 'dirt baby' - a sunflower or pumpkin seed in a pot.
Stay longer for a picnic lunch at one of our many campfire sites, and have fun at the playground areas until you are ready to head back to school. Group admission rates apply.

Scarecrows, Pumpkins and Fall on the Farm

Book your school or kid's club in early for this exciting full day (self guided) or 1 ½-hour guided interactive tour on a pumpkin farm, weekdays through September and October. Sizzle your senses and pit your wits against the giant corn maze! It’s an A-Maizing puzzle! Enjoy wagon rides, petting farm, nature trails, the Ice Cream Stoop and book a group campfire for the Flashlight Adventure after dark!

| Special Sweet Corn Festival Activities
o Corn Hole - You and your family can play the classic farm game of corn hole. Toss Corn Cobs in a hole to earn points & take your team to victory.
o Corn Crafts - Make a Native American style corn husk dolls from corn cob husks. Take your craft home with you as a souvenir of your visit.
o Corn Stalk Creation Contest* - Sign up your family or group to participate in this fun contest. Each group will be given a bundle of corn stalks which they can use to build a corn stalk structure. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the day for the tallest and the most creative corn stalk structures and winners will be posted on our website. This is one of our favorite events.
o Corn Eating Contests* - A fun and tasty competition for children and adults. Each competitor will be given an ear of freshly roasted sweet corn. The first person to completely devour one ear of sweet corn is pronounced the winner.
o Corn Husking Contest* - Children ages 3-5 can participate in this fun activity. Each child is given one ear of corn. On Your Mark - Get Set - Go!! The first child to completely husk their ear of corn wins a prize.
o Wagon Rides, Puppet Shows, 'Gem' Mining, Zucchini Art & Face Painting - No festival would be complete without these fun activities, all included in the entry fee.
o Petting Farm - These special friends are include adorable pygmy goat kids, bunnnies, sheep, and alpacas. The Kids will love to hug a kid!
o Dragon's Den Treasure - Extra Fun! Every child that casts his line will come into some delightful Dragon's Treasure. Whatever will it be this time! (Extra $2 Doubldoon Dragon Token)
*Sign up at the registration table at least one hour before the start of the event. Limited availability for these events. All participants will receive a participation award.

o Sweet Corn on the Cob - The highlight of our event is our freshly picked a cooked sweet corn. Our homegrown corn is a delectable treat. Add a little butter & salt and chow down for a taste of Alberta Sweet Corn so good, you'll savor every bite.
o Roasted Dilly Garlic Banana Potatoes- Taste our own fresh dug golden baby banana potatoes, roasted with butter, dill, and lots of garlic! A real crowd pleaser.
o Corn Bread- Taste our own fresh sweet corn bread, smothered with our own Kent Strawberries and real whipped cream. A real treat!
o Veggie Kabobs - Skewered and grilled baby zucchini, scallopini, pear tomatoes, with fresh herbs, and a hint of the Mediterranean.

A-Maizing Race (September & October)
Great Fun for Groups, Clubs and Birthday Parties!
E-Z Helicopter Services, with Fantasyland Hotel, and Prairie Gardens Great Corn Maze, invite all to the Air-MaiZing Race. Cntestants will begin the race by traveling to Prairie Gardens. Instructions for the first leg will lead each contest through the entire farm as they solve the stations for the race. Each contestant that solves the clues will be entitled to enter the Air-Maizing Fun Contest, for a chance to win a Fantasyland Hotel Fantasy weekend, an E-Z Air Helicopter Heli-Tour, and West Edmonton Mall Attraction Passes.

The award-winning Prairie Gardens has created an eek-stravaganza of Halloween festival fun- Alberta style! After dark, get set to solve the maze by flashlight!
Come get lost in the Great Prairie Corn Maze–Dragons! Scream through Haunted Farm House (the creaks and groans are real), make & take a scarecrow, enjoy the new Cornstalk Puppet Theatre -The Dragon Who Got Lost, and many more family friendly activities. Kids dressed up for Halloween get in free! Don't forget your flashlights.
