Every year, staff retreats, company picnics, customer appreciation events, and social clubs are choosing to treat their valued members to an event at the award-winning Prairie Gardens Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, just located just 40 minutes from downtown Edmonton. A real working farm, with a rustic country setting, lively entertainment, and special fall foods, Prairie Gardens is the ideal setting for your next company picnic. Celebrate the fall season with friends and family. Roast hot dogs over a campfire, see the October weekend shows, shop, and take a wagon ride out to the maze. Reserve a campfire site, bring your own food, or have Prairie Gardens cater your event. We get your fire started, supply the wood, picnic tables, and bales of straw to sit on. Covered and heated pavilions are also available to reserve.

You may wish to treat your employees or special guests to pre-paid General Admission Tickets, which will let them and their families attend Prairie Gardens any time during the fall season. You may purchase the Prairie Gardens corporate tickets and sell them to your employees or distribute them as a form of recognition and reward. Prairie Gardens Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch opens the long weekend of August. September is a great time to enjoy the fall air, and the pumpkin cannon is a huge hit during the Haunted Pumpkin Festival in October - a great time for corporate events, reserved campfire sites, group events, and company picnics. Campfires & Food

Campfire Sites:

Reserve a private group–use Campfire Site for three to 7 hours. (Comes with firewood and roasting forks). Times available: All day, lunch 10 am - 1 pm or dinner 2 pm - 6 pm. Pre-Order a Hot Dog Picnic Pack for $40.00 ($3.33 per person) to be delivered to your site. Picinic packs come complete with 1 dozen uncooked wieners, hot dog buns, drinks (juice boxes or pop) a bag of marshmallows, condiments, and potato chips.

Please note that campfires are dependant on wind conditions and Sturgeon County Fire Bans. If unavailable, we will BBQ your hotdogs for you.

Custom catering includes Beef on the Bun, BBQ Steak Dinners, Corn Roasts, Pumpkin Pie, and other special menus. Please contact us for quotes.

Private Function Group Rate: $2 per person

Picnic Pavilion $225 (Seats 50)

Heated Greenhouse Pavilion Rental: $250 - $500 (30' x100') Comes with straw bale seats. (Seats 100) (min $250)

Prairie Gardens Corn Maze Challenge

Get lost, be found! This teambuilding fun will have you going in circles, squares, and up over the bridge! With added puzzle elements, our Mazes will bewilder and most certainly entertain. The new 2009 Corn Maze will have you relaxing, building relationships, and having fun conquering the maze! This new team challenge utilizes the Farm’s incredible growing cornfield maze, as well as our unique bale mazes and pumpkin cannon! Book a campfire site and enjoy a hot dog roast around the fire!

More Activities for Your Company Picnic at Prairie Gardens

Other Activities included in the Prairie Gardens Retreat Experience include: a Country BBQ, Campfires and Hot-dog Roasts, Gift Shops, Tours, Luncheons, Wagon Rides, Tug-of-War and Three-Legged Farmer Races, Sack Races, Puppet Shows, Lawn Games (Croquet and Bocce). Indoor Seating and Greenhouse Pavilion

The Greenhouse Pavilion is a large greenhouse structure filled with beautiful seasonal display and seats up to 100 persons. Rectangular tables and folding chairs are included.

The Campfire Group Use Area is a large landscaped private area with eleven campfire sites, rustic log and straw bale seating, picnic tables and shelter.

Quick Planning Guide for Pre-Paid Admissions Tickets

Prairie Gardens will be happy to bill your company after the date of the event so that you pay only for the number of guests that attend.

Step 1: Meet with others and decide on the “package”, the date, and the time that your group would like.

Step 2: Call 780.921.2272 and give us an approximate number of people expected to attend.

Step 3: For entry into Prairie Gardens, design an admission ticket with your company logo or group name, the date, and the time of your event. Use separate designs or colors children under age 2. We will bill you for the number of these admissions tickets received.

(Other Options) You may also pre-purchase our printed tickets and give them or sell them at a reduced rate to your guests. Note that these will not have the date of your event on them and can be used on any other date during the fall season.

Prepare an alphabetized list of guests. This method requires your guests to stand in line at the Admissions Barn window to be checked in.

Step 4: E-mail, fax or send by mail a copy of the ticket or the guest list to Prairie Gardens Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, with your company or group’s name, address, phone number, contact person, and date of event. The fax number is 780.921.2398. Please allow 10 days for mailing.

Step 5: Distribute tickets to your guests. After the date of your event your company or group will be billed for the number of guests attending. Designed tickets must be pre-approved before giving them to your guests, or we will not accept them at our admissions windows.
